Crammed in a day's work and launched again at Hove at 3pm. SWEET out there on the 5m Ezzy. Waves were much peakier than early, big ones actually standing up for a whallop out the back. Wind angle was more or less cross shore and easy for a "bottom turn" into the awaiting peak. It looked like a mushy mess from the beach but in fact once among it, the conditions were good and challenging. Session finished prematurely when I laid the sail into a downwind carve on a big one and went for the top turn off a breaking face that was in the 6foot range. Whitewater ripped the boom out of my hands and the board off my tootsies. 20metres later it resurfaced with the sail and mast flapping around like a fluoro killer whale dorsal fin. One more North Viper Wave mast meets the bin. Long, long swim in, but managed not to lose any kit or rip my sail!!
